Project Manager, Speaker, Facilitator, Trainer Passion for personal growth and learning led to Stephen's powerful interest in organisational and individual effectiveness, identifying mechanisms for working with both individuals and organisations, and applying innovative approaches to business effectiveness. This interest fired the establishment of his company, Harrison International Ltd, which has a stated core purpose of "advancing the wholeness and effectiveness of organisations and individuals." Stephen gained his BSc (Hons.) in Computer Science from the University of Auckland, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He is a certified PMP, through the Project Management Institute. His career has covered software development, project and process management, and working with organisations at both strategic and tactical levels. He has facilitated the implementation of project management methodologies and has taught extensively in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and North America. In addition to training and consulting, Stephen also coaches individuals within a business setting. Stephen was the founding sponsor of the Project Management Institute New Zealand Chapter. Since 1998 he has served on the Board of Directors of PMI at the international level, his current term ending in 2003. In his personal life, Stephen felt compelled to re-examine his whole purpose for being, resulting in a profound questioning of his values, beliefs and life purpose. This heightened his intense interest in the motivating factors, influences, and personal, internal processes that result in the outcomes we create for ourselves as individuals, and how these apply to organisations. Stephen loves life and the challenges it presents. He especially enjoys helping individuals and organisations in discovering their own purpose, and the mechanisms and approaches they can take that will enable optimal performance and success. |
