We then go through a four-hour process that gives you the keys to unlocking your potential to grow as an entrepreneur by documenting the steps to achieving your business dreams. Musician/ Corporate Presenter
Russel Walder is an internationally recognised musician, composer, actor, painter, software company founder and corporate presenter. Prior to his work in New Zealand, he was nominated for a Grammy in 1988 for Best Instrumental Album for his work as oboist with Windham Hill, the pioneering music label from California. He has toured the world as a soloist, and has performed with such diverse groups as the New Zealand Symphony, the Auckland Chamber Orchestra, Afro-Celt Sound System, Yunchen Lhamo, and Urban Tap from New York. He has performed twice at Auckland’s Town Hall and with Peter Gabriel’s WOMAD music festival here. In 1999 Russel had the lead role in the award-winning New Zealand Film Commission feature, "The Lunatics Ball," which received the prestigious Golden Cup award at the Shanghai Film Festival. He also contributed several music tracks to the film’s soundtrack. In 2000, Russel co-founded the software company OAS. This IT company is now at the forefront of ideas creation and management. Their software, The Bridge, gives staff the opportunity to create, manage and share ideas with a focus on bottom line returns. Understanding that a simple idea can generate millions in new revenue, Russel helped pioneer the fusion of loyalty systems inside a company by attaching a points-based system and rewards for the creation and implementation of ideas. Working with The Warehouse and several overseas companies, OAS was recently named as one of six leading edge companies in the USA in idea management by Gigaweb, a leading American IT company. Russel gives inspirational and often hilarious talks on the topic, “Is your destiny a phone call away but you don’t know the number?” He seamlessly blends near-surreal moments of great business connections that he defines as ‘moments of clarity’ which come and go in an instant. In his talks, Russel reveals exactly how each of us can find this place within, trusting that the creative moment is always available at its most vibrant in every second.
