Composer, Author, Musical Facilitator Radha is a well-respected leader in the fields of spiritual music and children's music in New Zealand. She has long held a vision of contributing something of value to the world. Her music is outstanding in its sentiments of universal spirituality, wholesome living and world peace. She facilitates highly-praised professional development workshops and "Spirit & Song" workshops in New Zealand, and produces high standard recordings at her studio in the Wellington area. Her background includes work as a kindergarten teacher, performing artist, music therapist at Nelson Hospital, and tutor at the Nelson School of Music. Radha's career path now centers on adult contemporary (e.g., "Astral Jazz") and spiritual music. She has three international albums on the adult contemporary market: "Joan of Arc," "Touch," and "Dreams of Flying." She is also the composer and producer of 40 children's albums for Universal Children's Audio, and was the award-winning producer (Rainbow Ribbon Award 1995) for the Best Children's Album. In 1995 and 1996 she was a finalist in the NZ Music Industry Awards. Her compositions appear on albums and videos throughout the world, including "My World" (Sunshine Books), screened on PBS America. Here in New Zealand she is the co-producer of "Kiwi Kidsongs 1-11," a series published by Learning Media and issued to all schools here. A prolific author, Radha has written 17 songbooks with teaching notes, plus "Songs of Universal Worship" and "Join Hands in the Spirit," as well as works in "A World of Blessings" (The Canterbury Press, 2000). Recently she authored the "Virtues in Me" companion resource for "The Virtues Project Educator's Guide " (USA, 2000), and continues as a columnist for Te Awa Iti newspaper (now Porirua City News). |
