Actor,
Singer, M.C., Grant Bridger is a performer of some 25 years experience in New Zealand, and has toured extensively overseas, including Japan in Phantom of the Opera, and Australia and New Zealand in the critically-acclaimed version of Jesus Christ Superstar. Grant worked as a DJ for Radio New Zealand for eight years before becoming a television host and full-time actor, including 15 years with the Mercury Theatre company in Auckland. He is also known as an M.C. and Host -- fronting everything from festivals like Nambassa and Sweetwaters in the Sixties and Seventies, to corporate events, debates and special gatherings. He coordinated casting and repertoire for, and also performed in, Schweppes Showtime to 250,000 people in the Auckland Domain, and has been invited to sing with the Auckland Philharmonia and Christchurch Symphony Orchestras. His one-man show, "Some Enchanted Evening", has been enjoyed by many, most recently at the 2001 Waiheke Jazz Festival. His versatility and ability to "tailor-make" an appropriate contribution to an event makes him a sought-after host, M.C. and performer -- often with the added attraction of being a fine singer of jazz, standards, theatre songs, and even a little opera.
