LIVING RHYTHM Fraser Bruce, through LIVING RHYTHM, uses music and percussion to develop leadership, induce creativity, and build community. His programmes are designed for businesses who wish to enliven any of their group processes. "For conferences and trainings, I bring a van load of instruments which are used to coalesce and galvanise a group, either as they begin a conference or for an exciting celebration at the conclusion. Over the past decade I have discovered that through rhythm-making and movement, growth and healing take place quite remarkably." Fraser has a B.A. in Education and a teaching diploma, studied Shiatsu and traditional massage, and has worked successfully in the food and building industries. In 1996-97 he coordinated the restoration of Hopetoun Alpha, Auckland, as an education and performance venue. Throughout each year he brings his rhythm programmes to corporate groups, schools, youth groups and community festivals Fraser is a gifted drum circle facilitator and teacher, and the founder of the Sowelu percussion group. He coordinates the annual "Rhythm in the Square" at Aotea Centre, and directs the development of a community creativity centre in Blockhouse Bay. He is currently developing two educational venues for people of all ages to explore the creativity and richness of life -- the Rhythm Centre and Community Arts Charitable Trust in Waitakere City, and a residential training centre at Pakiri Beach. |
