Elaine is able to adapt training courses for specific organisational needs from the following areas of experience:
|
Elaine is a master catalyst with over twenty years' experience in venues as diverse as maximum security prisons, religious groups, head office boardrooms, health and educational organisations, NGO and government departments. She has been on the forefront of positive social change in New Zealand through the Heart Politics Gatherings, the Alternatives to Violence Project, and convening the Just Peace 2000 Conference. She is a quietly powerful, positive and inspirational speaker for conferences and other events, bringing her breadth of experience to create a refreshing overview of concerns from peace-making and social justice, to transformation and the invitation to meet the challenges of living in such potent times. Elaine has a strong belief in working with the whole person in all settings, to draw upon the wisdom, knowledge, experience and spirituality that is inherently present. Extending this approach out to groups, her strength lies in her ability to enhance existing skills, while offering new strategies and information. Experiential and interactive learning form the base from which she works, as she assists participants to integrate new ideas into their existing frameworks. To this end, she creates a safe and respectful environment where understanding and affirmation are keynotes to creating peaceful and cooperative relationships. As a facilitator and trainer she is well experienced in cross-cultural and international settings, having worked in Africa, Hong Kong, Tonga, USA, Australia and England. As well as facilitating meetings and conferences, she can be contracted for team building, planning, conflict resolution, and organisational healing work.
